The Purpose of This Website

RampUpRidgeland.com exits as a means of involving even more of our citizenry in the development of a comprehensive Master Plan for the City of Ridgeland. It's a unique online platform for delivering upcoming events and schedules, presenting ratified objectives and progress updates, and was an especially important vehicle for gathering citizens' input during the visioning phase in February and March '07. In short, this site is your resource for tracking the Master Plan's progress.

In the early phase of any city's comprehensive Master Plan process, community participation is especially critical. To that end, the City of Ridgeland held a series of public meetings that focused on vision and goals establishment. These meetings involved many participants, from which we gleaned volumes of valuable input.

Additionally, this site was an important new vehicle for gathering citizens' opinions to help inform development of the Master Plan and the future of Ridgeland. After reviewing a comprehensive tutorial about Ridgeland, online respondents were able to submit their answers to a wide range of relevant questions. During February, March and April '07 the site had over 10,000 pageviews. Going forward, we invite you to stay involved, informed and in touch.
