RAMP - What's Being Done Now

The master planning process is proceeding on schedule. MPG has completed the research and inventory mapping (part of which can be seen in the Get Involved section of this site) and is currently conducting research on regional issues and other relevant influences. Planning unit analysis, where the city is analyzed at a more detailed level is underway, as is the asset mapping, where the existing assets of the community are determined and mapped.

All of this information will be used as a basis for the following step in the process - Vision and Goals. In this step, the residents of Ridgeland will have an opportunity (and the responsibility) to share their thoughts about their home town. A series of public meetings will be held during which the consultant will lead a participative session that will include a brief summary of the inventory and analysis followed by a series of questions for public response. These responses will be used to identify the community's vision for the future of Ridgeland and the community goals that will guide the rest of the planning process.
